Westbound M-3 (Gratiot Connector) ramp to I-75 closed in Detroit Oct. 9-12 for resurfacing

DETROIT, Mich. - Weather permitting, crews will close the westbound M-3 ramp to northbound and southbound I-75 in Detroit this weekend to safely expedite pavement repairs. The closure begins at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 9 and is expected to reopen by 5 a.m. Monday, Oct. 12.
During the closure, westbound M-3 traffic heading to I-75 will be detoured via southbound St. Aubin Street, westbound Jefferson Avenue and northbound I-375.
Ongoing utility replacement work requires a continuous lane closure on southbound M-3 from St. Aubin to Russell streets and on northbound M-3 from Russell Street to East Vernor Highway.
This utility relocation is in preparation of planned work to replace the M-3 bridge over the Dequindre Cut that is currently being designed. During this initial stage of utility relocation, the Dequindre Cut will remain open and access to Eastern Market will be maintained. Overall relocation work is expected to be completed in December.
